It sounds like you have been offered some very sound advice.
I don't force my kids to eat veggies and I know what veggies they don't like, so I usually only offer then what I know they WILL eat and that is fine for me.
This is just a little story that I thought I would share regarding my oldest son Justin who is 8.
My boys have really bad gag refluxes, so I never saw the point in forcing them to eat something they don't like when they would just vomit it back up. I still encourage them to try it, and found over time that they are more receptive to it. Bribing them never hurts either! I do find other ways to get their veggies in them, such as with special juices or hiding it in meals. I also make sure they get their daily vitamins. Sorry I'm not much help, but I know how frustrating it can be. Good luck!
pbjnut (does that stand for peanut butter and jelly nut?!?!)

Thank you, it is good to know this doesn't mean he won't eat vegtables later in life.
Thank you Melissa, your post was helpful.
No I would not force them to eat something they didn't like--do you eat food that you don't like?
