Does your child go to the bathroom alone at night?

I have night lights & a light dimmer & a night light in the bathroom ... but that would never be enough for my children. They will hardly move around the house during the day w/o me being near. I try, but they simply will not give up.

Luckily they never get up to use the bathroom at night, but they do like to wake at 5-6 AM & will stay noisily in my room (waking daddy) until I get up with them.

There are some bedwetting tablets from Hyland (homeopathic) I wonder if those might help. My local drug store carries some of their products, others I would have to go to a wholes food store.

Or, better yet, maybe make a game. Discuss the rules with her before lights are out. When she calls for you, you have a designated spot you'll stand (you do not enter her room). Give her a cue you're in your spot & she uses the restroom & puts herself back into bed. After a couple of weeks make your designated spot a little further away, deeper into the dark. Continue every two weeks until it's like you're not even there. Don't forget to congratulate every time she succeeds :-)

Wishing a full nights sleep soon.

ITA that he is old enough. My DD is afraid of the dark. So, she has a very bright night lite in her room, plus there is one in the bathroom. Between the two they cover the hall that is between her room & the bathroom. If you have night lites, give him a flash light, maybe that would help. If not, I would try to talk to him, see why he is afraid. Maybe it is something you can eleveate??
Good Luck.
