That was a fun learning styles test, thanks!
That was fun, thanks.
I'm reading a fascinating book on this subject right now. It's called "In Their Own Way Discovering and encouraging your child's multiple intelligences" by Thomas Armstrong, Ph.D.
It's teaches that there are 8 distinct styles of learning: linguistic, logical-mathematical; spatial; bodily-kinesthetic; musical; interpersonal; intrapersonal; naturalist. That some kids have very strong leanings to one or two styles and how to tailor learning to your child's style so they can learn the easiest way for them. Most kids have aspects of several, but if your child has one particular strength it really helps you understand how to help them get the most out of learning.
It also goes deeply into how our public schools are failing our children, the reason for the huge increase in LD and ADD/HD diagnosis, etc. but that's a subject for another day... ;p)
