How many parties does your child get invited to &/or go to a year?
So far this year DD has gone to 5, and I know of at least 4 more that will be before the end of school. Plus hers! So my question is, do you attend them all? Do you set a limit? My DH thinks that it is crazy that there are at least a party a month, and that it gets too expensive. I think that unless we have a reason not to go, and the child is her friend, we should go. I have taken her to most parties that she has been invited to up to this point. However, now DS is also being invited to his friends parties, & he will be 3 in April. It seems like it all just starts so young. We are doing a small home party for him, but his friend is having his at Bouce U. I am not a "keeping up with the Jones" type person, but feel badly when others have big parties & he won't. (Que the big time working Mommy guilt here)

Wow you must live in a tiny town.
There are 21 kids in my DD's class, and there are 4 1st grade classes. There are 13 girls in our Girl Scout troop alone.

There are only 6 kids in my daughters kindergarten class but there have been no birthday parties so far. Adriana's birthday is in a couple of weeks and we are trying to figure out something to do (Maine in the winter......) that isn't too expensive.

Craig is in 1st grade and before winter break he got invited to a couple of parties and I know for certain we didn't go to one of them because of a sports conflict.
