Let's see... so far this year we have watched 'A Christmas Story' (one of my all time favorite holiday movies) and then also "Elf." Both of those movies have *some* slightly questionable content, but not enough that I can't tolerate it. And I just adore 'A Christmas Story.' If you haven't seen it, you simply must!

P.S. "Ralphie!!!"

Not sure what else. We watch movies together every weekend but he always picks un holiday movies like toy story and nemo LOL

We always watch Little Women (the one with Winona Ryder as Jo) It's one of our favorites.

Also, A Christmas Story (Gillian LOVES this one), A Charlie Brown Christmas and all the other classics: Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (cartoon-can't stand the Jim Carrey version). DH likes It's a Wonderful Life.

We're traditionalists. I haven't really enjoyed any of the more recent Christmas movies.

Oh I had forgotten about Little Women. I haven't seen it in so long. Do you think my son would like it? He does enjoy the Little House books...

I love that movie. That may be because my best friend's brother is the kid in the stocking cap (you know the kid that double dog dares Ralphie to stick his tongue to the flagpole) with the bucked teeth. We decided that Heeleys (the shoes with the wheels in them) are the new Red Rider beebee gun - we always tell my kids they'll break their necks. LOL!

Love A Christmas Story (see previous post). My kids (6 and 10) love Elf too. We watched Charlie Brown last week and this year we may let them watch Christmas Vacation. Not so sure it's the best for the 6 year old but my son would really enjoy it and we can't very well tell her she can't if he can and we can't make him wait until he's 14 to watch it either. I've tried "It's a Wonderful Life" but they weren't really into it. Too bad!

We saw Santa Claus 3 which was funny but more good vs. evil than the other two. It could also bring up many Santa Claus issues so be careful here if your kids still believe. I would like to see The Nativity and the kids want to see the Danny DeVito/Matthew Broderick flick about the neighbors.
