Isn't Buspar for anxiety?
I think it is the age! My son is getting ready to turn 7 and we never even went through terrible twos ... so pay back is worse now!
What works best for us is to praise the good things. Every time he does something just a little good ... I make a little bit of a big deal about it. I guess it's building him up inside and he wants to keep pleasing me.
He's just testing ... trying out his "new shoes". No longer a preschooler, but not a "big kid" yet.
I always tell my son, "when you are calm enough to talk to me, come out of your room and we will see if we can figure this out". Figure what out you ask ... why he got all angry and upset. Sometimes, it's because he was in the middle of a task and now I am telling him to drop it for dinner ... WHEN ... I could have said "Hey, when you are done, come on to the table". That is what he has told me ... that is what I do. One less battle at dinner!
