Poo Poo Undies

Does anyone else have the problem of finding poop stains on their child's underwear at laundry time because they are not wiping thoroughly? Is this normal at this age? My son is 6 yrs old. I'm so sick of having to pre-clean his undies before I put them in the washer. Sometimes I just throw them in the trash!

My 6 year old still has me check after he wipes, you might want to try that for awhile.
I agree that the flushable wipes are a useful tool for helping a child thoroughly clean themselves after toileting. I have my kids use toilet paper first, then finish up with the wet wipes.
Another thing you might want to check out, however, is whether it's really a problem of your ds not wiping well enough or whether he's accidentally eliminating small poop splats due to his bowels being too overfull with poop. When the bowels are overfull, the muscles get stretched out. With less muscle tone, sometimes poop is eliminated accidentally, either as smears of poop or full loss of bowels.
Another bathroom help we have, is we keep a big bottle of sanitizer in the bathroom. My kids won't often wash their hands thoroughly, but they don't seem to mind grabbing a big squirt of sanitizer as they dash out the door. My sister taught me that one, and we've had a much higher rate of compliance than before we used sanitizer!
