Do you all buy new backpacks for your kids for the new school year? My son's backpack from last year is still good and I don't really feel like spending more money! I'm wondering if I should buy him a new one just cuz everyone else will have one...I don't want him to feel left out.
Hello!
In years past I've always purchased a new backpack

Sorry to be so late chiming in here! I don't buy new ones every year, I try to get them ones that will last for several of them, which means we now stay away from character ones. I just get tired of having so much stuff around the house, because they don't use the backpacks much other than for school. We have plenty of spare backpacks if they need it!
I bought the three younger ones all new backpacks at Children's Place 2 years ago, and they are still going strong. I might buy the twins new ones next school year from LL Bean, since they'll need sturdier ones for middle school the following year. I'm hoping that Sean might wait another year and then buy him a cheaper one at the same time.
Before puchasing ..i think you should remember..that Backpacks for school are safety for childrenReshma ChowdhuryBackpack safetyBackpacks come in all sizes, colors, fabrics, and shapes and help kids of all ages express their own personal sense of style. And when used properly, they're incredibly handy. Many packs feature multiple compartments that help students stay organized while they tote their books and papers from home to school and back again. Compared with shoulder bags, messenger bags, or purses, backpacks are better because the strongest muscles in the body - the back and the abdominal muscles - support the weight of the packs.
