How do you determine who gets what and how much? Do you have a system or is it according to behavior and requests? *wink*

Weeellll.. I always say the Santa presents are based on behavior but I'd give them something no matter what. lol

I just buy on clearance and make sure things stay even for the most part. Carson isn't getting a whole lot this year.. but he doesn't really need anything w/ having 2 older siblings. Poor little guy. ;o)

For the older two, I decided to buy something big and fun this year. I always buy so much and we have soo many toys now.. kwim? So, I found a bouncy house thing thta was slightly used on ebay for $60 (w/ shipping). It's 6'x6' (I'm trying to remember.. maybe 8' long.. hmm) I think that's right) and 5' tall. Anyway, I'm really excited for this. It will be something fun we can pull out on cold days - we have a lot of space in our basement so we can just push a couch over and it will be good to go. On christmas morning, we'll do presents and then say "do you hear something downstairs" and have it already set up. Can you tell I've been thinking about this? LOL

Other presents.. I got her a Polly Pocket "locker/safe" type thing w/ a push key pad. She loves things like that. I also got her.. hmm. What else did I get her. Oh, Play food for the (play) kitchen.. new sheets for her bed (boring).. two new pairs of winter jammies from disney (kim possible and tinkerbell).. and the Leapfrog for her age (we have the My First LeapPad) off ebay.. I've also bought 3 books that I found on clearance. If anyone has any they don't use anymore and want to sell for a good price, let me know. lol

I think from family she'll probably get polly pockets and I'm not sure what else. That new digital camera for kids (I think Fisher Price makes it?) looks really neat. She's always taking pictures w/ mine.. maybe Grandma can buy that.

What are you guys buying?

I decided this year to start keeping a list in my purse so I won't forget what I've already bought.

I always do one or two smaller but nice presents from mom and dad, to be opened on Christmas Eve. This might be something like a Leapster and a new pair of slippers etc.

Then Santa comes and he leaves one or two bigger gifts under the tree for each of them. Last year it was a doll house with some Barbies for my daughter.

Where I get in to trouble is with the stocking stuffers. I always forget what I buy and then it turns out uneven or too much. I need a list! :)

Well for Mallory I got her age appropraite toys since she doesn't have much. Each child is getting 5 items though Mason might get one more, but it doesn't matter cause Mallory is sooo young she doesn't know. Mason has 2 items he REALLY wants and talks about them every day. He wants the Ben 10 labatory (well he's getting the watch and some action figures) but I didn't know about the labatory till recently and he talks about it constantly so that might be the one more thing he gets. I got the mp3 player ......but i didn't want to. I thought he was to young but dh said he wasn't. Anyways, that what we did. Santa buys a few things that aren't wrapped and the wrapped ones are from us

I know exactly what you mean about having so many toys!!! I've been filtering the closets and toy boxes so they can get new versions of what they had and gave all the toys to the Salvation Army...ready for this....10 BLACK GARBAGE BAGS FULL OF STUFF!!!! I felt like the house was 15 times cleaner after that one! LOL!!!

I'm planning on getting them both something big and a few little things. I thought about the TV projector for Tre (9), so he can be on TV when he jams to his music, and a kitchen for Trin (2). Little stuff is stocking stuffers and a few toys to replace the stuff we gave away. I'm still sorting through my thoughts. UG!

The stocking stuffers always get me, too. I always think they are bigger than what they are. Maybe I should put that in my purse, too! LOLOLOL!!!!

We do the same thing! The only thing I am doing differently this year is opening the gifts from mom and dad on Christmas Eve and Santa's on Christmas morning.

Even though every year I swear I'm not going to buy a lot, I end up spoiling Davonte. I try to do like my parents do and limit toy buying to Christmas and his birthday (which is 2 weeks after Christmas), but between grandma and my BF, he gets things all year round. I usually get him one big gift and many smaller, less expensive gifts.
