Are you planning on a vacation away from home, or are you planning on doing many fieldtrips close to the house? WHat kinds of things have you got in mind for Summer vacation?

The girls will be in T-ball that starts next week - practice on Monday nights from 6-7p and gamnes on TH at 6, 7, or 8p.

We will be going to Disney for a week at the end of June - YEAH!!! We can hardly wait!!

They will be doing (3) 1/2 day Brownie classes and 2 weeks of swim class in August.

My mom watches them on M & Th when I work downtown and she will be enforcing a 30-60 min school period for them each of those days :o) They will have to do a few workbook pages and read her a book. I will also try and find some fun science projects and other things for them to do with her to keep up the school but not in any high pressure way.

We will also keep up with reading a book or two a night and get to the library more now that they aren't getting books in the bag or the school library.

We have lots of other fun day things planned - Great America, Noah's Ark in the WI Dells, WI State Fair, our County Fair, and tons of other festivals that are around Milwaukee, and our old stand bys - our Zoon pass, local parks and the waterpark/pool here in town.

And we are putting up one of those inflatible pools with the filter so that should keep them busy most days :o)

We are going to Florida in August(school starts after Labor Day) and we'll go to Disney, Nasa Space Center, and spend ten day on the beach(unless weather is crazy).
Apart from that DS will be doing a summer tennis camp for one week in July and DD a sports camp at the same place.
Plus my parents are visiting during July, so that will be nice. Grandpa said he will buy a huge Basketball hoop(with the stand) for the kids. I didn't tell them about it yet, since I thought it would be nice for him to take them shopping and surprise them.

Hi Janet,

We are going this year to Disney Orlando. We will stay 7 days in Orlando and 5 days in Miami. The kids vacation start on June 30, 2006 and they will have 6 weeks vacation. We will take the plane to Miami and than drive further to Orlando. This is our first time to Orlando. So they cann't wait and I cann't wait either. The rest of the summervacation we will do some nice things on the island. Like going to the beach, ostrich farm, museum, 1 week summer camp, camp in the backyard and of course we will inflate the pool for some fun in the garden. I will only have 2 weeks vacation of my work so I need to combine work with their vacation. I think I will survive it :b).
