Does your 6-7 yo boy or daughter talk non-stop? I've taken to just adding "mhums" and "really" to his non-stop chatter.
My son is really fixated on fairness, too. Is yours?
Thanks for reading,
Mari

LOL!!! You just described my daughter to a "T". Although my ears get tired sometimes, everyone else LOVES her. They love her chattiness. I swear she could make a mime talk =o).
I swear she is soothed and stimulated by the vibration of her voice in some weird, sensory way.

Your post made me LOL. Good to know we're in like company. My DH always asks, "Is this normal for a ... year old?" I told him about the posts here and he was relieved. I don't know many moms of kids my son's age.
My DS does plays and all the roles, too. My DH thought it was a riot and keeps talking about it. DS sings to himself and makes up songs. He even writes notes and tests for me on Saturday mornings. He's always communicating. I wish I could box up these memories for later review. It's going so fast and he is quite adorable.
He's interrupting me...Gotta go.

Okay, This is so funny. My DS is such a chatterbox!!! He talks non-stop from the time he wakes up in the morning until he goes to bed but the kicker is that his teacher always refers to him as "quiet"!!! My hubby and I laugh and say "Are you sure you are talking about our child?"!

The talky gene clearly came from me. My DH is light Fort Knox. He talks only enough as is required LOL. My DS even talks and sings in the shower! We went camping this weekend and he couldn't find anyone to talk to (5 families 4 w/kids) and he out talked his peers and the teens. He is very articulate, though.

When DD went to Kindergarden, and we had our first parent teacher conference, we were really nervous that it wouldn't go so well.
