where do babies come from?

OK, last night my 11yo DS asked me where babies come from (literally, he wanted to know how they get out of your body). He had the misconception that they all had to be taken out (C-section) and I told him that was not necessarily true, so he wanted to know how then. I was on the verge of answering him, but DH stopped me because my 7yo DS (8 in two weeks) was in the room. He seemed curious as well. I don't think there was anything wrong in telling them, but DH seems to think that Kevin is too young. I wasn't going to go into a talk on conception or a graphic description of childbirth, I was just going to answer the question anatomically. I think it would have been okay for Kevin to hear that. Am I wrong? How do you handle this? (I know I'm not the first mom to be asked this question).
PS. The question never got answered. I told Danny I would tell him later, but he said he thought he had it figured out and then decided he didn't want to know all that bad.

If they are seriously asking, I don't think they are too young to know.
