My cousin has played water polo forever, they live in San Jose. She is a goalie and was recruited by alot of colleges. She started at Brown this year and loves it.

I know they did alot of team training at Stanford over the summers and she did Jr. Olympics when she was in High School but I'm not sure what else they did other that just HS. Not sure if that helps of not. She has awesome leg strength though!! We are in TX so not much water polo here:)

Welcome! I know I have "seen" you on the other board!! I don't have a water polo player, but my dad played in high school and some of my cousins play. It is a tough sport, but sounds like fun!!!

Hi everyone. My name is Ami and I'm popping in from the 10-14 year old board where I'm a pretty regular poster. My ds (15) just started h/s water polo this week after finishing club swim season this past weekend. My dd (11) has two weeks of club swimming left and then we get a break for a month or so until swimming starts up again. She also has horseback riding lessons a few times a month when we can get her to the stable in-between swim meets and school work.

I'm brand new to water polo. Anyone have any good resources and/or advice?

The best thing about sports at the high school is I don't have to shuttle kids, we live only four blocks.

We are finishing up the competitive cheer season shortly and she has try outs for h/s varsity for next fall in about 3 weeks. Other than that, it should (hopefully) be a quiet spring.

Yeah, ds still has a month of hockey left. Dd still has a few lax things left for her club. I am not sure when try outs will occur. We had our parent's meeting already two weeks ago.
