Darcy from Seattle. Hayley is 16 and going to be a junior in high school. Dakota is 12 and going into the 7th grade.

Dakota is practicing his archery daily and going to tournament on the weekends. He will also wrestle this winter. He is growing like a weed this summer, school shopping is going to be costly this year.

Hayley has a couple weeks hiatus from her travel softball team.

Hi! Sarah with Lily, 7, here in TX. Lily starts 2nd grade on August 23rd.

Lily will be swimming year round again this year. Short course season practices begin on Sept. 1st. She will have been out of the water for a little over 2 months when she starts back, so I'm eager for Sept. to get here! Her first short course meet will be Oct. 23rd, so she'll have almost 2 months to train for it, so that's good.

Hi, Tammy here - visiting for the first time on this board.
We have from oldest to youngest, Taylor, 22, a senior in college; Hunter, 18, a senior in high school; Christian, 17, a senior; Toree, 16, a junior; Tabitha, 14, a freshman; Madison, 11, 6th; Bailey, 9, 4th; and Morgan Haley, 7, 2nd grade. 4 are homeschooled (16, 11, 9, & 7), 4 are not (22 obviously, 18, 17, & 14). We hail from rural north metro Atlanta (right on edge of metro).

Currently I have some taking a break from sports and pursuing other activities BUT at the same time doing family workouts and running 5Ks - so still active!

Christian runs track and cross-country and just recently joined the Air Force. He will leave a month after graduating.

Madison plays soccer year round. She's a star player and finally had to make the choice between soccer and ballet and soccer won.

Bailey is playing football for the first time ever this season. Spring will find him back on the soccer fields.

Morgan Haley is a competitive gymnast and plays soccer as well both spring and fall. She has been on the team since she was 4 years old. Last year we had to take a medical hiatus for 5 months so she is repeating Level 2 this year... but then so are other girls who didn't take a hiatus so she doesn't feel so left out anymore.

Taylor slings drinks for a living and crams for tests!

Hunter is a life guard and official for football and baseball so he swims a fair bit, runs a lot, and works out every day. He was quarterback of the football team until he up and decided he simply wasn't playing anymore due to the coach (no one likes the coach at all and he was finally sick of the mess, as were we but if he wanted to play then so be it - we weren't sad he decided not to play this year).

Toree is running 5Ks and doing a strength training program as well. For activities she runs her own nail painting business and apprentices with a photographer. She was a competitive cheerleader since she was in 4th grade but she finally couldn't take the petty mess on any of the teams so last year was her last year.

Tabitha is doing the same thing with the 5Ks and strength training program. She's heavily into singing and theatre with me which takes up a good bit of time. She was a competitive cheerleader as well and quit for the same reasons.

Most are involved in other things like 4H activities, volunteer work, choir, chorus, etc, as well.

~Tammy~

Welcome Ramona!

It's great that your kids are getting to travel so much, what an experience.

It sounds like they keep you busy with a wide variety of sports.

I love volleyball, I played all through school, but it's a sport my dd never really took to.

We also love tae kwon do, but had to give that up because there just wasn't enough time in a week for everything. Hayley my 16, dh and I are all black belts. DS just didn't ever really get into it, so he is a blue belt. What color belts are you kids?

Welcome to the board! Keep us updated!
