My 13 year old son isn't really into organized sports much, which is fine with us but I would like to see him get into something he enjoys (whether it be music, art, whatever).

I guess it depends what he is up to when he is just hanging out and playing with his friends. Is he staying out of trouble and getting some physical exercise while he is at it?

Mocha,

You're definately not a failure at parenting, the very fact that you are so concerned about your son and his future proves that.

There is not a problem with him not playing an organized sport.
