I'm such a nice Mommy... LOL.
Wow you are nice!!! I can't imagine giving up one of my styling tools on a day I had to go to some place important! Of course I'm not feeling very benevolent at the moment. Evan yelled at me this morning (a lot and it included a few names) so he had to get to school on his own. Then when school got out it was raining and he called to ask if I could pick him up. Ummm, no. It was not thundering and lightening and the rain wasn't even coming down that hard. He was barely wet when he got home. Of course he didn't speak to me for several hours afterwards. Too bad so sad... Actually, I enjoyed the peace and quiet.
He's back to "normal" now. Whatever that is... Sorry I hijacked your post. This has been bugging me all day and I guess it just came out. I'll remember your sacrifice the next time I feel like telling my kids no about something minor. :) You're a GREAT mom!
Awww, your son sounds like my 10 yo who can be a real tyrant.
Thank you soooo much. I was soo glad to hear that my kid isn't the only one who acts like this. Some days I just feel like saying NO to everything because I want him to learn to take no for an answer without throwing a fit. And yes, I would love for him to be nice to the whole family just ONE day! :)
On the bright side, we're having a GREAT day today. The kids have off because of the Jewish holiday so Megan went to work (very informal setting) with dh and Evan is with me. This morning he and I walked to the bookstore and this afternoon he's been reading and he's now watching tv (1 hour only - his statement not mine). Loving the peace!!!!!
Hoping your day is as peaceful.
