My 7th grade son decided he doesn't want to go out for Halloween. I was kind of surprised, since I think my DD went out til she was a senior in h.s. He made me take him into one of those costume stores and he liked looking at everything. I think he would like to be Harry Potter, but he said none of his friends think that Harry Potter is cool. But I'm sure he could be something else. I was kind of disappointed. I'm sure the other kids in the neighborhood his age (which there are a lot of ) will be going out.
But then he also doesn't want me to give out candy. I couldn't get that one. I said he didn't have to give it out (cause I figure maybe he would be embarrassed if his friends knew he was home) but I wasn't going to stop doing it. I like to see the little kids dressed up. We have a lot of kids around too since we live in the suburbs. So I don't get that one at all.
DD is in 7th grade and still plans on going out.
