I also put this in the other thread, but wanted to cross post it here.

Sorry Chelle, I can't use the quote function on my iPad or I'd use it. I think that's wha we all need to remember. This wasn't brought as a debate thread, Jenn was stating her frustrations about her pediatrician, and while we all have our own opinions, we all need to be respective of everyone else's views and backgrounds. I understand that Kelly came across as sounding a bit harsh in her post, whether that is because she is very passionate about her opinion or whatever else, we all have a right to post our opinions as long as we are respective of others.

Obviously we all as parents have our reasons for doing what we do, and that's the good thing about this country, our freedom of choice. None of us know each other's entire background or our reasons for always doing certain things, but that's also what makes us unique and gives us the ability to give each other constructive advice on a wide variety of topics. I hope that everyone on the board can "constructively" get along.

I also find the older my child gets the less judgmental I am of other parents and how they raise their kids. There are times when kids are teens and they start making choices of their own that I may not like.I can only hope and pray that I have raised Gab to be smart enough not to engage in underaged drinking or whatever.Right now I know her and her friends are not drinking, just because they are still chaparoned rather heaveliy. Will the same hold true in her jr and sr year who know.Let me tell you I was surprieed at some of the kids Gabby told me were caught drinking at the prom. All very good kids with good involved parents, they just made a very stupid choice and ened up paying dearly for it since they could not walk at graduation. The same goes for girls who get pregnant in h/s,nothing to do with their parents.I am sure most of us talk til we are blue in the face about safe sex and abtience being the only way to prevent stuff. But things happen...So as for me I don't judge the choices anyone makes for their child, unless they are negletful. And if you are on this board I think you tend to be a caring involved parent so....No judments fromme only you know your kids and your family sititution.
