How about a $10 iTunes gift card? Food items are always good...some sort of unusual flavored pretzels or type of candy. Does he like puzzles? There are lots of tiny puzzle books made for people who commute, crossword, suduko, etc. Does he read? How about a few cool bookmarks?
My DS is 10, and I am having trouble with ideas, too!

Ooh, hate that Hollister smell! I think it's designed to repell adults. You're a very unselfish mom for buying that cologne....
I have no idea either! I don't want to go overboard. What about a sudoku book, or some paperbacks. I was also thinking about a small calendar and a gift card to Kernels, which is a popcorn place Kurt likes.
We always put in batteries (for all the electronic stuff he has) & gift cards for 7/11 & Taco Bell (places he'll end up with his friends).
