That does sound very stressful. But you are not alone. I know someone here is pregnant and their DD is 10, Melissa I think? And someone else has a 10 year age difference between their kids so hopefully they can offer you some comfort in knowing you're not the only one out there. No advice on Christmas. Its hard when your finances are up and down. I would ask each of them to make a list and use that as a guide, the type of things they like. Sorry I'm not much help. My DD only wants a horse this year which ain't happening. LOL
Welcome! My brother and I are about 10 years apart and as kids we got along really well (except for the time he locked me in the garage and I flipped him off through the window - he was 5). We laugh about it now. Seriously, we're very different people but get along really well. My parents had me help with everything from diapers to feeding to playing to helping pick out his name (my choice ended up being his middle name). When I was older, I babysat for him and once I could drive I played chauffer and LOVED it. It made me feel important. one piece of advice though. Don't make the same dd babysit every Friday night. They'll wish they had been to more of their high school football games later on.. :)
In terms of Christmas... What about experiences of some sort - local plays, movies, museum memberships, sports tickets, concert, lessons of some sort, etc. That gives the older girls some one on one time as well as memories. It doesn't take up space in the house either! :) Just some thoughts...
My ds (almost 11 now) was born at the end of November and the best thing I did was get all the Christmas shopping and wrapping done before he was born. Made the holidays much more enjoyable!
I can't help with Christmas, but I'm with the others whose kids have a big age diff. My 2 boys are almost 9 yrs apart and it's actually pretty cool. My 11 yr old is so good with the 2-yr old and the 2-yr old thinks his big brother hung the moon. Now, they do fight (which I didn't expect!) because the 2 yr old IS 2, and the 11-yr old IS 11... but for the most part it's way cooler than I ever expected.

Welcome to the board and congratulations on your pregnancy!
About the holiday gifts, have you asked your daughter for a wish list?
