Aging off this board
15
Wed, 01-11-2012 - 2:34pm

My son turns 15 next week, so I probably won't be around here much longer. (I may pop in once in a while to see what's going on with you guys, though.) I just wanted to say thanks for the great advice and wise words from all of you, and to wish you all well.

It sounds like a cliche, but time really does go by so quickly! My DD is a junior in HS and we're planning a trip to look at colleges this spring. I honestly can't believe how quickly the days have passed. I remember when she turned 10 and I started lurking on the preteen board, or whatever it was called in those days. Now my youngest child is 6 feet tall and I have to highlight my hair to cover up the gray. Next stop, AARP.....

I am glad to hear that Rachel's transition back into school is going well, it makes it so much easier in general. I hope that Matthew continues to come around, or that whatever the outcome is, it works for everyone involved!!

Rachel is loving it! She is in an autism class and definitely the highest functioning in the class and is quite proud that she has a lot of skills the others do not. She wanted to go back as she was getting bored at home,

She is a junior this year, so we still have one more year ahead of us. How are Rachel and Matthew acclimating to public school? Was it there decisions to go back?

Hi Tracy

Alex is finishing up a couple of courses online, then will graduate. Rachel and Matthew went back to school this year after 8 years of homeschooling, so there have been lots of changes around here. Does Jordyn graduate this year?

Nice to "see" you Linda! How are things going? Is the oldest graduating this year or already graduated?

Hard to believe. I'll miss you! Our oldests are the same age and you've been here as long as I remember. I still have a couple of years left on the board though, since Ian is only going to be 13 in June. Keep in touch! xoxo
