She started complaining about a very sore throat on Sunday night and had 104º fever on Wed morning. She also started a congested cough Wed morning. They did a strep swab & a flu swab and the flu was positive.
Poor girl.When Gabby gets sick I'm always hoping it is strep,since antibotics work quickly and then she is feeling better.With flu it just has to run its course.Hopfully you won't get it.Did you have the shot?Not that that seems to be working this year.Gab has never had the flu either(knock wood)Sending get well vibes Aly's way
No, but I did and it's a strain that's not covered...go figure! So, even though we were fussed at by her pediatrician (she had gotten it last year, I get it every year since I had it in early '98), it wouldn't have made a difference anyway.
She's on Tamiflu, and I just called our dr for our prescriptions, since it's preventative, too if someone has it in your family.
