Any football fans? Just saw the "breaking news" that Peyton Manning has finally chosen which team he'll play for after being released from the Colts :

(You can probably see from the URL that he chose the Broncos).

I am a HUGE football fan (totally opposite in this household, DH could care less, LOL) and Peyton has always been one of my favorite players.

I agree, you'd think so, but I'm sure if other teams wanted him bad enough they would have offered more for him. Kind of sad for Drew Stanton, he just left the Detroit Lions as the 3rd string QB for the Jets' back up position and a better chance at playing more, and the Tebow trade has changed that up a bit. Stanton is a pretty decent QB, it'd be nice to see him get more playing time somewhere else.

Wow, sure didn't take them long to trade Tebow!

Seems like he would have been worth more than a 4th round pick too.

I was surprised by the announcement since he just spent a lot of time up in TN over the weekend. It sounded like he was going to the Titans. (We heard about every place he went and visited while in the area.)

I agree that there's some disappointment about Tebow being traded -- boy, did he give us some exciting games!

I think Denver is pretty split on Tebow - they either love him or hate him. DS heard them say "Tebow" on the radio one day and said "Mom he's a Bronco player. My teacher says he can't throw." LOL!

I think (hope) he'll improve with age and experience. If anyone remembers Manning's first year, you know he was not great. I wish they could keep them both and have Manning mentor Tebow, but such is life in the NFL.

It will be nice to have an Elway-esque superstar in Denver again but, let's face it, Manning doesn't have many good years left.

I have to agree a bit with twogirlsisenough. I am a big football fan and I was suprised that Denver was even looking into Manning. I think the Cardinals would actually be a better fit for him, personally. This will be an interesting season to watch now especially for this Lions' fan!

Wow. So Tebow leads the team to a first round playoff victory in his first full year playing and this is how they show their thanks? ( I Read that they are now looking to trade Tebow).

I am shocked. I thought Denver loved Tebow! I guess we'll be cheering for the Broncos this year (the Colts won't be the same now).
