I ordered twin dolls for my girls as a Santa gift for Christmas.

I have! And actually it does not say in the return address the name "American Girl" in it. It's very vague & if you keep reading the label evenutally it says something about American Girl. But it is a very plain brown box.

I agree with Vickie, we've ordered from AG several times, it comes in a brown box and the return address is a random one, doesn't even say American Girl.

The box is vague & doesn't say American Girl. Open it when you have time alone & check everything. I've never had a problem & they are the most pleasnat people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to when ordering over the phone.

Thank you.

It did come shortly after we got home from the school. Natalie was very nosey and wanted to see the box. She heard the guy knock on the door and I told her I'd get it. I asked her to please go into another room. It's her I will have to worry about getting curious. I started asking her about other stuff to distract. That is the good thing. She is easy to distract. LOL I have put them away and will look at both later, when they are in bed.

Unfortunately this may spoil their Santa beliefs. They might figure out who Santa is because of this.

I hope it doesn't ruin anything for them.

This year we have done a lot of online shopping and we've made sure to mention in front of the kids (neither believe anymore) that their aunt who lives in the country is shipping "just one more thing" to our house to pick up next time she is in town.

Doesn't really matter what we get, it's all hers. LOL!!!

I don't understand why it would ruin belief in Santa. Do you get them any presents that are not from Santa? When packages come in the mail this time of year, my girls are pretty nosey, and I tell them no you can't see what's inside, it MIGHT be for you. I never confirm it is for them or not or what is actually in it. Even if it is a present for them, I do get them things from "me & dh" that are not from "Santa."

We buy from just us too. They know that dh and I are done shopping for the and each other though. They have been keeping track this year who has shopped for who. It's their year to keep track I guess. LOL I don't care if they figure who Santa is. It just means an end to all the childhood beliefs like that. When Matthew figured out who Santa was he figured out who the Easter Bunny was and all the others they believed in. It will make things easier when they do finally know. Dh is tired of Santa getting the credit for all the good ones.
