...with SpongeBob SquarePants in it?
They're discussing it on MSNBC right now & debating whether it markets to kids or adults; and if it's aimed @ kids, why

Now, why are they going to go ruin that song like that??? ;o)
Yes, that's stupid!!! And doesn't fit with selling kids' meals.
But Burger King is also the chain that has put toys from PG-13 movies in their kids meals. I understand trying to appeal to teens, but putting the toy in a kids' meal just doesn't cut it. It was more than one PG-13 movie they've done this with, but the one I'm thinking of now is Wild, Wild West with Will Smith.
Let's see. I like Baby Got Back. I freaking LOVE the Burger King and I like Sponge Bob sooo... I thought it was hilarious!!!! I don't think most kids would get it since its an old song. All the adds with the King in it are creepy. That's the funniest part about them!
I do think it isn't appropriate for young kids. IMO, its directed at parents who probably remember the song. It gets stuck in your head pretty easily and if you associate it with BK, you'll go there. That's how I see it maybe working, but I don't know much about advertising.
Now I have that song in my head. lol
I just checked out the youtube link, I guess I don't watch enough t.v. to have seen this, but I just think it's very silly and could lead to a bunch of little kids saying/doing something inappropriate.

I'm not sure that associating big square butts with BK is really what they want?
They have another stupid commercial about their little bitty burgers (the burger shots). They show a midget riding (possibly) a shetland pony, herding up these little bitty cows (that you can tell is a camera thing..they are proportionate to regular cows).
Anyway--anyone else remember when they tried the mini-burgers in the 80s and it didn't last????
I don't see the purpose of the little burgers myself.
