Anyone's kids have the flu??

My DD Emily has been sick since Monday. She's had a fever every day since then, now day 4.
She's been coughing, had some vomiting, and headaches with body aches. We went to the Dr. yesterday. No strep throat. She also had the nasal flu vaccine...I don't think it worked for this illness!
I am mainly concerned about having a fever every day since Monday. Anyone else ever had a fever this long with your kids or yourself?
She is taking Tylenol and Advil along with a prescription cough syrup.
She missed 4 days of school already! Nobody else in our family has it...yet.

Yep, here in New Hampshire 2 out of 4 kids and 1 DH.

One child and DH wound up with pneumonia and the other is still not feeling well.

Hopefully i have armed Jackie with the things she needs to do to not get it.

We're in Ca. sounds like it's going around. She finally doesn't have a fever today. I want her to go to school on Monday! She's missed 4 days so she needs to make up the missed work.

We've managed to avoid the creeping crud virus that's been going around (so far). Right before Christmas break I heard the school sent home 53 kids within a couple of days because of it.
