DYK Thread for April

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

feel free to snag one of these blinkies as well.

So do I>Plus it got to the point where teachers were sick oftesting too so they were rushing through reg classroom work to get stuff done. This is ok for most things, but for math not so much. Not sure what is going on with Gabby and math she has an 84 which is the lowest grade she has ever had,and I am kind of concerned since her test grades are kind of low.

The phone never gets taken away.

But the phone has no texting either- so it's not much fun LOL.

dyk I am wondering what it is about testing days you dislike

dyk I am believe standardized tests are not as helpful as many believe

dyk I think first of all that what we consider grade level competency is so far behind the rest of the world we are doing our children a tremendous disservice

Mine is BAD.

The girls have friends whose houses are much bigger than ours- and also spotless.

But those mom's are NOT in school. And hey, sometimes schoolwork takes priority over a spotless house.

Thanks, my head is starting to hurt a little again, so I'm not sure how much I will get done around here.

Abby will be done with testing today. It hasn't been too bad for her this year, only 3 days I think.

I don't think Zoe's friend's mom has someone come in to clean.

I do have to say, if I had a 4 bedroom house and only one kid, mine would probably stay clean too. I would actually have somewhere to put stuff.

I do the same thing.

Sometimes I put stuff on the stairs for the girls to put away.

And sometimes I take it up to their rooms for them.
