We've never ordered food for a family gathering. I can't even begin to imagine where I would order it from, well other than a pizza chain. I think that must be the difference between city/country living. I don't have any place close enough to order from.

See I'm new to this being the hostess of the family gatherings. My parents always had stuff at their house and my dad always cooked.

dyk Here in the NY suburbs, there are lots of places to cater food from

dyk Not all deliver, the way they do in the city, but more of them are doing that too

dyk Do you kids have cousins close in age?

My brother's daughter and step son are both a year younger than Adam. His step daughter is two years older than Daisy, and his other step son is 17. My youngest brother's son is going to be 1 in May.

I WUV this movie!

DH can't figure out why I keep watching it; he says I can recite it (and I do)!

"I want an Oompa Loompa; I want an Oompa Loompa right away." (Veruca Salt)

OK,'Ruca, I'll get you one before the day's out." (Mr. Salt)

I want an Oompa Loompa NOW!"

"Can it, you nit!" (Violet)

Sherina thinks it's weird that I can remember things like this!

Thanks to Kelly (mom2emsopmax) for my beautiful siggy! Photobucket

dyk It's nice that your kids have kid cousins

dyk I didn't grow up with other kid cousins and I feel badly that my kids aren't either

dyk It's like they're an in-between generation, like I was.

dyk Hope you're enjoying your Easter

dyk I just took the lamb out of the oven and now I need to make the veggies/side dishes

dyk Dh, Kayleigh and I just played our first game of Phase 10

dyk Well, I have played before but they haven't

dyk Dh won

I grew up living next door to my same age cousins, just like my kids now are. It's interesting when your neighborhood friends are also your family.

I just took the cake out of the oven, the ham hasn't gone in yet. The kids and David are watching the movie Joey got in his Easter basket.
