DYK Thread for August

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

DYK...I'm worried that the teachers will pick it apart grammar wise. Does that make sense?

Hahaha, yeah, it can't get any more basic than that! I'll have to see what I have around or what I feel like whipping together.

DYK Good luck with the essay and the letter

dyk The only time I had to do that was when Ian was entering kindergarten, his teacher sent home a pretty indepth questionnaire and asked for a separate "essay" about your kid

dyk She was something else, though, pretty special, she still goes to the district's HS graduation every year, to see the kids that she taught in kindy, graduate, and she retired a year ago June

dyk I wish that teachers would ask more about the kids

dyk The teacher I worked with last year, in fourth grade, sent a questionnaire home too

dyk How are thing going so far, I would love to hear about Caleb's middle school experience

dyk Ian has a one hour orientation on the 2nd, he got his schedule on Friday

dyk HOpe you are enjoying the weekend.

Hi Mindy!

DYK...I thought that the letter thing for Caleb was great.....I didn't expect it for Alexis. Not sure exactly what to say about her.

DYK...Caleb has enjoyed MS so far. He really likes switching classes, for the most part his little group switches all together.

DYK....Ian's K teacher sounds like a great lady!

dyk Glad to hear that Caleb is enjoying middle school, I hope that he has great teachers

dyk Yes, Ian's kindy teacher was a very special one

dyk I dont really know the teachers that Ian has for his academics, but I know that one of them does have a good reputation

dyk I have no idea who any of Kayleigh's teachers are, zero familiarity with the HS teachers.
