DYK Thread for August

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

I haven't read down to see if anyone answered you, so you might get double answers :)

My friend's ds didn't start losing teeth until after he turned 6. His birthday is in June, and it was a few months into the next school year before he did.

I remember he telling me he told his teacher he was so excited because his friend that was only 5 (Zoe) had lost teeth before he did.

That use to bug him so much, lol.

So anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

DYK I think the concept of passing along some of the cost for extracurricular activities is a hard topic.

We pay for most extra curriculiers in our school and I am ok with that. What I object to is being ask to spend close to $100 on school supplies, then having to fo to a craft store once and month and having to purchase scrapbooking and craft supplies,so Gabby can do a project for her classes. And if the project does not look like a piece of art she would get penilized.I would bet we put out close to $30 a month for school projects.
