DYK Thread for August

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Madison has been sleeping in her swing for the last few hours.

Emma is eating apples and peanut butter, although not many apples are getting eaten, she's just licking peanut butter off her fingers.

I assume DH and DSS aren't going to be home for dinner. DH was supposed to call me when they were leaving his boss' ranch, or at least call and let me know that they wouldn't be around for dinner.

I didn't expect them to come home early anyways, but still. Its funny when DH says "we'll spend the whole weekend together doing stuff", it never actually means "all weekend", it usually only ends up being a few hours each day if that.

I'm debating what to do for dinner. I really really want pizza, but I'm still trying to stick with this non-dairy thing for a bit longer even though I don't think its helping madison's fussiness at all.

I am going to try and hold out until her appt. with the ENT on Monday morning to get her tongue clipped and give it a few days to see if that helps with things.

DYK

I was gone for a while too, so it's good to be back and have you back! All is well here--Alexis is now done with competitive dance, she had nationals in July. Caleb starts middle school in 10 days...
How are your kids? What's new with you guys?

So, is she enjoying every minute of cheer? Then it is worth every penny! Will she be home soon?

She does seem to be enjoying it quite a bit so far. We'll see how cheer camp goes. DH was trying to convince her (since she is so uptight all the time) that if she gets any pranks or anything pulled on her that she needs to do her best not to react or get too upset by it because it will make things worse. She doesn't believe any of that sort of stuff happens, but I told her that it indeed does.

She finally found one or two girls on her squad that she enjoys hanging out with, so I think that helps a lot.
