DYK Thread for August

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

We are leaving for splash lagoon at 9:30!d to take the trash out this am since Dale will be gone tonight also.

Yesterday Gab went to a friends house for Game day/night.There are a group of 7 of them that get together just to hang out.

Gabby did find out she has homeroom and S/S with all of her friends, since a friend of one of them has and Aunt who knows the 8th grade schedules. She got the S/S teacher she wanted the most.Although she said she really did not care.

She will have the mathe teacher she does not want, because he is the one that teaces Alg 1.

She said they are mailing schedules next week.I am sure they we plan for us to get them Friday or Saturday,so no one can call and complain about their child's schedule(not that I ever would do that, since it is what it is)

Although they had schedules online about 10 days before school started.

Gabby is looking foreward to our water park tradition. My mom Gabby's friend Bree and I have been going every summer since the girls were 8.They are 13 now!

We always do the same thing. We drive an hour to the outlets, get some lunch go to a few stores, then drive another hour to the water park.We have tickets for tonight tom and Wed.Although we won't stay that long on Wed

Now that the girls are older I know longer have to go on most slides.

I like the lazy river.

My mom and I usually chat and read.

I am excited because I got Finger lickin 15 by Janet Evanovich to read.

I am sure we will. The one good thing is that it is an indoor water park, because then we do not have to worry about the weather.

dyk Glad to hear Gabby has found friends in some of her classes, and I hope the math teacher turns out okay

dyk Schedule day here is 8/21

dyk Enjoy the water park!

dyk We may go to our small local water park later, it's discount night from 4-7 pm today

dyk thunderstorms possible for later, hopefully that won't happen, it's going to be 93 and humid, and we could use some cooling off

<<Adam has been told he will let Daisy help him pick out clothes for school.>>

dyk LOL, when my niece and nephew were kids, they didn't get along well, fought all the time

dyk Once they got to be 15 and 12, things got better

dyk My niece would take him shopping for clothes and tell him what to buy, she'd take him to get a haircut and tell the person what to do with his hair

dyk Then David liked her much more because girls noticed him :)

Boy, I sure hope that Caleb and Alexis get to that point. She tries to help, but then he gets mad. He wants to hang with her, but she wants nothing to do with him. UGH......sibling love.

I do love when they get the giggles together though.
