DYK Thread for August

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

DYK heels are actually against our dress code this year. They don't specify how tall is acceptable.

DYK Alexis only wore heels once or twice last year for dress up days for cheer.

We've had a random few girls try heels before, they never make it through the day and never try again...lol.

At our school they discourage heels or flip flops but do no ban them.

They actually mailed schedule out this year. They also posted hem on line.Gabby was happy that she did not get the nath teacher she thought she would get.She got teh one who actually explains stuff. The other one is in charge of the year book and he spent a lot of class time working on that.

She is in all accelerated classes again this year. They even maile dthe supply list,so I can now go supply shopping. She needs 6 binders this year instead of 7.Although for some reason she needs 2 1 1/2 inch binders for English. Why they need two binders for one class is a puzzle to me.We also need subject dividers for all those binders. The usual

Gabby is not bothered by heels. They really do not bother her feet.at least some paqirs do not.Her S/S teacher last year could not wait for her to come to class because she always looked foreward o seeing Gabby's shoes.

Ang, I've been thinking about you and your mom, and I've been praying for you both also. I hope things are going well and I'll keep you guys in my prayers!

Abby got her schedule in the mail last week. She didn't think she had classes with any of her friends, but it turns out she does. She can't wait to find out if she has science and social studies with one of her really good friends, they both have it during the same time with the same teachers, but that's one of those A/B day things and they won't know until the first day which is which.

She also has the same team as her best friend, just not the same times. That will be great when one of them is absent, since her mom and I are best friends. That makes it much easier to get info!

I spent the entire day at the middle school yesterday.

The whole day, 7:45 to 4:00.

It was 6th grade cougar camp and I had to be there for PTA since we sell the agendas and shirts. I'm not quite sure why we didn't try to get other people signed up instead of it being just us 4 or 5 board members the whole day.

Zoe went to my friend's house, her mom came down to babysit and agreed to babysit Zoe too.

Then we all went to dinner together since her dh was working late and mine was going out with guys from work.

Yesterday and today are my only days off this week. Since I spent all day yesterday at the school, it feels like today is my only day off.

As soon as Abby gets up we're supposed to go to the rec center with some friends so the girls can practice for volleyball try-outs.

Then I need to do some serious cleaning.

I also have to run to the store at some point, we are out of coffee (I barely had enough for this morning) and cereal. Dh pitched a fit last night because we were out of cereal. I'm sorry, I don't eat it, and he needs to tell me that he finished off what we had.
