DYK Thread for August

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Do you ever say anything positive to anyone?I kind of feel bad for your children if you speak to them the way you speak to everyone on this board. For the most part you claim you are offering us unwanted advice, when you are not doing that you are slamming someones husband,or someones school or teachers. You are one negative person.

DYK Laura, thanks for your thoughts...I'm hoping my dad will come round in time. I'm not sure if he'll be able to talk

I know with my mom she tends to be so set in her ways,so while I wanted to help at times it got got of hard to help her and be there for Gabby.Even when she stayed with us after her surgery she had to have things done her way.It was just little stuff, and I did not mind taking care of her and cooking for her and such It was just a little stressful when she had me measure out the exact amt of milk and cereal with a measuring cup. Then the cat would drive her crazy.I do think it is a lot harder for men to deal with a spouses illness than it is for women.Since most women are used totalking about their feelings, men not so much..I hope your mom has an easy time with her chemo.
