DYK Thread for August

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

At least they ar not at your house. That sound like a fun place.Kids love jumy stuff.Even Gabby and her friends love the bouncy house. We have friends who have an Oktober fest every year and they rent a bouncy house for the kids. They have a blast. The younger kids and older kids have to take turns though. What doe Matthew want to do for his b'day? You have three b'day parties to have within a few weeks of each other.

I have big anxiety issues at places that are overcrowded, loud, flashy lights, etc. I just about come out of my skin. DH is a concert lover though so he takes the kids when they go. Taylor wouldn't be his first choice, but it makes the girls happy so he does it.

School's going well. A bit frustrated with technology, but as of this afternoon, I had Internet again. What tomorrow holds...who knows!!!!!! I still don't have the anti-virus software on my log-in, so that in itself is very frustrating since that is a people problem..grrr!!!

Aly's doing fine. I'm not keen on having her in my classroom, but I love what I teach and she's at the school I WANT her to be at, so that was the trade-off. Just 171 days of having her as my student left (because I am NOT teaching 8th grade!!! and I can't teach higher than that).

She has 4 grades in my class, and 100% for now.

Boring day for them. They stayed in their homerooms and the fifth grade took a tour of the building and watched a couple videos, 8th grade just watched the videos.....tomorrow they will follow their normal schedule and get a better sense of how it will go.

When I looked up your first posts on the board last week, you said you had a 6 year old daughter and a 10 year old son.
