Come one, come all, to anyone who lurks, pops in and out, or our regulars, check in, give us a quick run down of anything you'd like us to know!

And a bonus, when do the kids go back to school, off to college...

I'm Tracy, your CL here.  I also CL the Surviving Middle School and High School board, so always feel free to hop over there also!  I live in Centra Texas with my DH of 7 years, daughters Jordyn (17 and a senior), Emma (5 going into Kindergarten) and Madison (3).  No pets, though I would love to have a nice big fluffy cat to curl up in my lap at night sometimes.

Jordyn and Emma start school on Monday, August 27th, and I need to talk with Madison's daycare, I think she may be ready to bump up to the pre-k classroom in September.

Cheryl in VA.

Kristen (18) leaves for freshman year in college on Aug 17.  Couple of days early but she's got to participate in an orchestra on campus as a requirement for one of her 3 scholarships the school gave her. And I'm not talking small amounts- this school gave her almost $20,000 in scholarships a year!  Yeah it's a private school- but that brings tuition down to about what the other in-state public school she was looking at.

Becca (15) will go back to school as a sophomore the day after Labor day.  She can also apply for her driver's permit tomorrow (help me..................)

We have 3 cats- Jasper, Sneaky Pie and Holly.  Jasper and Sneaky are the oldest, and have also been having some medical problems.  Heaven help us if we have to put one of those animals down while Kristen's at school...........

I have no job right now.  I've done some temp work- and they'll take me back- only problem is that the company won't take me back until January.  I'd kind of like to have something else- tuition is taken care of for this year, but not for the next, we have a 20 year old house that needs a new roof, etc, etc.

I'm Jenn with DH of 12.5 years. We have Kenzie, 14 (freshman in high school); Teagen, 11 (a sixth grader); and Jax, 19 months! Kenzie starts on 9/4 and Teagen starts on 8/13! Teagen attends a year round public charter school and so their summer break is only 7 weeks, instead of the standard 12 weeks!
