Just a quick question/poll about your 10-14 summer sleep habits. Do you allow your kids to stay up late at night and sleep late in the morning. What about you-are your sleeping habits different in the summer than other times of year. Just curious what is going on at other houses!

Oh it makes me feel so much better to know I'm not the only one. I am very lax with them in the summer. They stay up later and they sleep MUCH later, sometimes till noon or later. I figure it summer, its not like I've got anywhere to be either! On Friday and Saturday nights they have no bedtime but the other nights I do make them go to their rooms and read or watch a movie at 11pm and they usually fall asleep shortly after that. Then I gotta start aclimating(sp?) them to earlier bedtimes and make them get up earlier a couple weeks before school starts so its not such a shock.

Plus I really like my quiet mornings to myself while they snooze.

Connor is expected to get up at 7 am and is allowed to sleep until 8 am on Saturday mornings only.

Lights out is 10pm

During the school year he has to get up at 5:30 and must be in bed by 9pm.
