Is your 10-14 an oldest, youngest, middle, an only or where does he/she fall in the birth order?

I have read a couple of books by Dr. Kevin Leman that deal with that subject. One is called The Birth Order Book, and the other is called How to Make Your Child Mind Without Losing Yours. I have found them helpful in parenting my children and I refer to them from time to time in dealing with students at school.

DD is 16 and the oldest child. DS is the second and youngest at 14. He will be 15 in June .

Evan is the oldest and fits that position to a t! Megan is the youngest but/and the only girl so in a way she gets a little "only" status. When she was born, she was the first girl on either side of the family in 35 years so she got lots of pink and attention. Evan has such a strong personality that we sometimes over compensate and give Megan more attention. She plays the baby card when it's convenient but I don't let her get away with it.

First and middle! It's interesting about the middle, because Teagen has only been the middle for one year and she's 10! She was just destined to be the middle, because she has always been the attention seeker! LOL

My 12 yeard old is my first born and from what I've read about birth order, he also seems to fit that profile. My MIL has a book on birth order that I want to read but I keep forgetting to ask her about it! I'm an only child so birth order really interests me since I don't have any personal experience with it (other than observing my own two kids).

I know Jordyn is the typical first born/only child easily. And Emma has taken on more of a first born when it comes to "mothering" Madison at times, but she's definitely a middle child who always seems to be fighting for attention, from what I understand anyways. I was in the grocery store one day with just the 2 little girls in the line to check out and Emma was just acting up and the lady behind me asked me if I had just the 2 and I said no, I have a teenager also and she just nodded her head and said (towards Emma) "yes, she's definitely the middle child." LOL!
