The birthday party was a success

Cost me a small fortune. Of course 14 or 15 kids said they were coming and only 12 did. Makes it cheaper for me, but still annoys me. LOL They had fun and all I had to do was sit back and watch. It was at the supermarket and they made pasta from scratch, ceasar salad and fruit trays. Then they all got to decorate cupcakes to take home. Then they had a huge plate of pasta and salad and birthday cake. Generally the girls were all good. A couple of times I had to speak up and kind of put a halt to it when they started throwing flour at each other. Want to smear flour all over your own face fine, but no tossing it around. Otherwise it was fine. They all got their picture taken at the photo place first so tomorrow I pick up a whole bunch of pictures of the group. Of course I forgot my camera but I ran downstairs and bought a disposable. What a waste but I couldn't not have pictures. She got lots of nice stuff for her room, way too much jewellry which I know she won't wear but oh well, and some gift cards and a shirt. So she is happy. It was a good day, now tomorrow is the "official" day. She's still not sure if I bought her anything besides her bed. I told her that was it. LOL I did buy her some ballet flats, computer games and a couple of small things and she's getting highlights for her hair, so she should be surprised. She did manage to get enough money from grandparents and her Dad to get her video camera she wanted so that is her big present anyway.

That sounds like an awesome party!!! Glad it went well!
