Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning! I've survived my weekend successfully and I still can't figure out WHY I don't feel worse! HAHA!!

As you know we had our USMC Ball this weekend. The activities spanned the whole weekend and I was moving so much that it all seems like a blur! After spending the morning packing up, running errands and desperately waiting for my ball gown to arrive, I picked up a lady from District Headquarters at lunchtime from the airport and headed to the hotel across town. The afternoon was mostly social since the men were in training all day and we wives span four states so we only get together twice a year. Awards ceremony in the evening then about 20 of my closests friends and I shared a meal at a Japanese restaraunt. We cackled and giggled over drinks until almost 11:30pm before heading to our rooms and wouldn't you know DH and I ended up chatting in our room with a small group of friends until WAY too late at night. UP early saturday. I convinced my husband that a very special military wife author would be fantastic to speak to our wives. I had to work for months to get it both approved AND paid for but it worked, she spoke, and the wives left feeling recharged in their marriages and with much better attitudes than usual! Did I mention my dress arrived at 8:30pm the night before? DH had to rush across town to go get it for me so I had my first try-on after lunch on saturday, right before 6 people showed up to my hotel suite to 'chat' about the morning's seminar. I had to kick em out by 3:30 to give me an hour to shower and get ready. By 4:30 I was decorating tables with glitter and hershey kisses in my ball gown, which...even though was a bit 'showy' on the boob side, still got me tons of compliments! The evening got into full swing at 5pm and didn't stop! There were ceremonies, presentations, an awesome slide show of the history of the Corps that had tears in my eyes, dinner and dancing! By midnight we headed up only to be followed by more out of town friends. Should I mention we kicked em out of our room at 4am? YIKES! I woke up by 7am knowing I was expected to be packed up and out early. I had to travel across town to pick up my kids, make em pretty and be back by 11am so our friends who'd traveled so far could see 'how big the kids have gotten' over lunch. By the time we unpacked the car afterwards and plopped on the couch to watch CARS with the kids at 2:30 I was a drooling mess! Unbelievably I managed to stay awake to watch Desperate Housewives and by 9pm I was passed out!

I'm still in my jammies this morning and shaking my head that it went so fast! I don't even want COFFEE because I'm so dehydrated from so much 'social drinking'! Give me a water IV infusion! HAAH!!!

I'll try to get some pictures posted later today and thanks for your well wishes on friday! I'm truly glad this happens only ONCE a year!

Drinking my cup of coffee, debating whether I reheat my breakfast sandwich from BK that I haven't eaten yet.

Weekend went pretty well, got a lot of stuff done and lots of rest. Jordyn is finally feeling better. It is a quiet week, so I am looking forward to it. Lunch hopefully I can run to the grocery store, after work I have to stop and pick up Jordyn's contacts and possibly get an oil change. After that I am hoping to sit in and watch Jordyn's practice for a bit, but I think DH will be able to talk on IM, so I may be home doing that.

That's it for me.
