OMG!! I don't quite know what to do with myself today. Dh is not coming home until 8:30 or so and the kids are gone for the week!!!!!!! I've cleaned off my dresser and put together a new lamp that we bought last night. It looks really nice! Cheapo black mission style wood base, about 12 - 14 inches high with a pleated shade. I put it in the living room on a round table that is covered with an ivory tablecloth and three family pictures in place frames. The house is really shaping up.

I think I'll tackle Megan's room this afternoon. Last night dh and I bought some white wooden shelves, two white wall cubes, and a bright pink reading lamp for her room. It should look really cute by the time she gets back. We also bought a really cute fake suede rocker-type chair for under her loft bed. It's the kind that sits directly on the floor like tv or video game chairs. The idea is to set up a cozy reading corner under her loft bed. She cleaned out alot of the things under her bed before she went to my parents so all I really had to do was consolidate a little. Her closet shelves are another story. Maybe I'll do those tomorrow or Friday. She's got so much STUFF in there that she never uses. I'm hoping if I put away/hide this big black stuffed cat she has she won't miss it and I can throw it away in a few months. I HATE that thing! It looks cute but it's at least 36 inches long and takes up WAY too much space in her room. I was going to make that the pillow in the reading nook but when we saw the chair at Target ($15) I couldn't resist!

I probably didn't tell you. I do billing and CSR work for a local glass company. We do auto glass replacement, home glass, showers and closets. I worked there before I had Rachel and then went back when she started school. Now I'm ready to stay home again.
The kids had a great first day. Caitlyn's teacher ask all the parents to write a paper telling them about their child. boy is that hard! We are going to Chili's tonight for a birthday dinner!
