Good morning! Today is the first day BOTH kids are at school! WHOOPIE!!!!
I have a session at work this morning then I have to go downtown for a meeting. I'd hoped to sit and chill at home, but I guess not...
I haven't slept well all weekend, even last night I was up until 1am...grumble grumble...
But I DID have an awesome weekend! We were given a condo at Winter Park resort for the weekend as a thank you to DH for being one of the Guests of Honor at the Veteran's Biker Rally! We had no idea what this was, but it was all motorcylers from ALL OVER...all vets. They had all kinds of political speeches and even rallied to protect service men's funerals from those people who travel the country protesting at these funerals. It was really cool but wow was I overdressed in my cute tank, capris and silver sandals! LOL! Everyone was really nice and DH was stopped every 3 feet to shake hands and get thanked for his service. He wore his dress blues and it was very cool. Funniest part is they printed his Bio wrong in the papers, putting him in a job at a base he's not even connected to! Sunday DH and Nick rode mountain bikes down the ski trails at Winter Park while Mack and I rode Alpine Slides and did other activites at the resort. The weekend turned out amazing!
Sob...off to the showers to get ready for my day...
Sounds like a super weekend. Its nice to feel appreciated. Glad you had fun at the condo. Oh forgot to add I can't believe there are people who travel around and protest at the funerals of soldiers. That is just so wrong. You can be against the war without being against those who have no choice but to be there. Totally disrespectful, there are better ways to show your opposition than disrespecting people who have died.
Well, I'm home alone this week. I hope to get some cleaning done, linens washed, just some chores around the house. So no big plans today. Maybe I'll find out something about my job today, who knows. I have a call into my personnel officer and my new boss is going to call him to and say what the heck is going on. We shall see.
We woke up to the concrete trucks this morning. They are getting ready to pour patios at the new homes across the street and ours.
I'm going to go to the gym for a workout. Hannah is sleeping. Although the patio is right next to her window. She won't be to pleased when the concrete dudes start making noise.
It's Hannah's actual birthday today. My Mom, her DH, and Marks parents are coming over for dinner.
Hope everyone has a super day. I'm kinda groggy today. :(
Sounds like a fantastic weekend Denise. I'm glad everyone had a nice time.
I haven't been sleeping very well either. Last night I finally fell asleep around 2. I'm so tired today. Maybe it's the gearing up for the new school year blues. :)
