I hear you there. I went to whole foods today, spent $50 and really barely got anything at all. I really want to eat more organic and healthy, but boy, the price definately discourages me sometimes.
I love that stuff. Last year a gal in my bible study group gave away starters to anyone who wanted them. I babysat that dough for 5 or 6 days and the bread turned out beautifully.
I always wanted to make that again but kept forgetting to ask her how to make the starter.
Wtg Olivia. So Olivia, are you the staff appreciation chair? I did that for 2 years once it about killed me. The teachers loved me though. I kept going to the pta and asking for more money. That committee started out with only 300 dollars by the time I left the school it was a 1,000 budget. Aren't I good?
Mine is one of those that keeps going forever, when I want to make bread I take out a cup, feed that cup and then feed (flour/water) the stuff that is left...let it bubble and brew an hour or so and then stick it back in the fridge until next time. So essentially you always have more to start with again.
