Yes, it totally depends on the kid; all mine wants is everything in the Best Buy circular. ;-) His birthday is in 2 days, and so far I only have one thing for him, because I am at such a loss. I think I may just taking him out shopping; he suggested that.

Problem is -
he lives a ways off - so I'm not real sure what he's into -

Forgive me - but what exactly is Napster?!!!!

Also - What sort of t-shirts have you seen on kids this age that would be good?

thanks!!!!!!

Napster is a site where you can download songs onto your MP3, you can buy gift certificates for that.

We find funny tshirts all over the place, I found one yesterday (online, now I can't remember where) that said "Hey Raisin, get out of my cookie".

Boys can be into so many different things....sports, computers, video games, music. Some like clothes, others would hate getting clothes.

Ideas:

-a magazine subscription (depending on interests there are lots of good ones out there)
-books
-a rental card to a movie rental place, stuck in with a basket/box of popcorn and various junk food
-movie theatre passes
-passes to go snow tubing, or to some fun park/outing
-my almost 12 year old loves the more complex Lego sets
-watch
-tools (mine wants a multitool and some fishing gear)
-science kits

..most of all, ask the parents. Some kids, like mine, have some quirky interests. He wants knitting lessons, lolol.
