Bus driver gift...

Next week is Bus Driver Appreciation Week. Aly's had the same bus driver since Kindergarten and this will be her last year with her (Aly's moving to middle school).

She is awesome!! One day, Mike was just pulling into the driveway when the bus pulled up, and the bus driver yelled out the window, "ALY! Do you know who that is?" To make sure it was someone that was supposed to be there. Mike got out to say hi..lol. We've chatted with her several times in Wal-mart. She always signs Aly's yearbooks and gives her hugs when she sees her. Just the greatest!!

So, I want to give her something really nice this week. I always give her a Christmas present, too, but I really want to show my appreciation.

The only problem is, the only things I know she likes are silly Christmas hats, a certain radio station, and Scooby-Doo.

Does anyone have any ideas for a really nice gift for her ($15-20)? Her daughter is college-age, so no young kids at home.

Thanks!!!

Do you see her at the coffee shop? If you knew she drinks coffee you could give her a travel mug and some nice coffee or g/c for a coffee shop. Last year I think DD had 25 school bus drivers. It was a nightmare, but the bus drivers I think, not the kids. Sorry don't have many ideas. Chocolate is always good but there are some odd people out there who don't like chocolate.

I know she loved the hot chocolate I used to put in a Christmas mug for her Christmas gifts in the past (can't anymore--I leave home before she comes around). Does Starbucks sell hot chocolate? That way if she doesn't like coffee, at least she can get hot chocolate!

Yes they do. Hot apple cider too. A Starbucks g/c might be the easiest. A nice card made by Aly would be appreciated too.

You are so LUCKY to actually have a bus driver you can appreciate!!! I tried to get ours fired last year for his extremely inappropriate behavior (swearing at the kids, calling them names, not following protocol for punishments) and erratic driving... This guy should NOT be driving kindergartners! Well, I didn't get him fired, but they installed a camera on the bus to keep him in check...

Needless to say, we will not be observing Bus Driver Appreciation Week here... But if we were, I'd definitely go for a gift card of some sort! And maybe some lottery tickets.
