The driver had not gotten the updated list so he had no idea Zachary was riding his bus. The girl who got on at the corner goes to high school and so he had no one to pick up for the last two yrs on our street so now this morning he came down the street in front of the house and picked up Zachary at 7:30 a.m. so at least that problem is solved. Zachary doesn`t get home until after 4:00 in the afternoon since school does not let out until 3:30 any of you with middle school kids have them going in at later times as well???? Now that Timothy gets home before Zachary he tells me how his day went and then when Zachary gets home I get to talk to Zachary so this really works out well. Zachary also gets to sleep until 6:30 so he is not as grumpy in the morning either.

Woo Hoo on the solved bus problem. Sean will be in elementary school yet (just starting 5th grade this year) but the middle and high schools start and end their days earlier than the elementary schools. Glad that the timing seems to be working for everyone.

Best Always,

Our middle school starts an hour earlier than elementary did. I only have one, so it's not a problem here...and he's usually up early enough to make the 7:55 start (ends at 3; used to be 8:55-3:35).

Glad the bus issue was solved quickly. Actually, the older the kids in our district, the earlier the bus. The middle school bus is an hour earlier than the elem. bus. Sam and Rachel get picked up at our corner at 7:15, and dropped off around 3 or so. I know the district switched to a new bus company this year, and I'm curious to see if that effects the times at all. Their afternoon bus was in the 2nd group, so they had to wait 15 minutes to get their bus home, which surprised me. I'm not sure if it will be the same this year.
