Can i ask for a little prayer?

Hi,
I have only one grandparent. She is 87 years old. My mom's father died when i was 5 and her only sibiling died when mom was 12 and he was 16(stomach cancer).
Well my mom tried for two days to get ahold of her mom and she could not. On Tuesday she went to her apartment and asked the landlord to let her in. Grandma had the chain on so the police were called to break down the door. Grandma was lying on the floor naked with a small puddle of dried urine around her. They think she was there for 2 days and she could not reach the phone. Mom is riddled with guilt that she didn't go over sooner but Grandma often goes out for walks and she is hard of hearing so there are many times she doesn't answer the phone. Orginally the doctors thought she had a stroke. Yesterday afternoon she talked a little bit and told my mom she loved her. Last night we went up to see her and she was sleeping. She has not said a word or woken up since yesterday afteroon. Today they said they think she had a heart attack. They asked my mom about a DNR order which Grandma is really against so mom told the doctors she would want to be revived. My mom is really stressed out and upset and i don't know what to do for her. My mom has a ton of issues with her mom but she does love her.
We are really hoping she is going to pull through because we love her and my brother is getting married in three weeks and she was really excited about it.
Please say a little prayer for her.
Thanks,
Kelly

Prayers for all your family. My husbands grandma had a stroke a few months ago and laid on the floor for hours before anyone found her.

I want to gently suggest your mom talk through with her dr what happens when you revive a patient in terms of their quality of life. It usually means living on a ventilator and many other things and generally there isn't much life inside the person.

We've been dealing with that here as well with my mil being stressed to the breaking point over her mom's care.
