Changing Kids' Sheets?

Strange place to ask this - but i have kids around this age ----
they take showers at nite - but i really wonder-
How often do you change out your kids' sheets?
I've been doing it once a week & wondering if I could cut back in that one element of my life!

So when everyone talks about their kids doing their sheets - does that mean: they STRIP, WASH, & PUT BACK ON their sheets?
Forgive my naiivity, but I'm working toward anything that will HELP ME!
PS - Caudill - You look like you have a birthday SEASON at your house!!!! I have my two split apart - April & October - ev 6 mos!
My oldest son strips his bed, washes his own clothes (by his choice) and puts his sheets back on.

Ok, i guess the important point here is that i need to know their ages - doing this -
I just need to understand WHAT my girls, ages almost 9 & 11.5 are capable of ---- actually my oldest is rather lazy & my younger is more willing to do things.....
You might pity me, but I need to decide where my girls need to be - & where I can reasonably get some help! The sheets deal is one that's just occurred to me - maybe once a week, myself, is WAAAAAAYYYYYYY too much & knowing that would help some!
Yes - me at 40 have lllllooooonnnnngggg beeen SWEATING most nites & we take our showies in the morn - but the girls do that at nite. Maybe that's one thing I could cut out - changing to even ev. 2 weeks - or even, a NOVEL idea - teaching them to do it themselves. I've let my oldest get away w/murder. Luckily, I've done better w/my younger, but still not sure if they can do their own sheets - I just visualize the brick wall!!!!!!
Sorry...I forgot that I am new here!!!

Ok. Let me ask seriously:
Did you find your kids at 10 & 11, somewhat LAZY?
I do mine, but my Sis said it's the age! I get worried thinking she's taking off after my mom biologically - who's never been domestically inclined, frankly.
Maybe this sort of thing is something to continually impress at 12 & 13????? Now, when you continually impress, does it eventually stick??? :o)
Dd's 13 and 10.
They both strip their beds, and they put their sheets back on. They HATE it.
I don't care, they are old enough to be doing it. It was hard at first, and I had to step out of the room so that I wouldn't do it for them. And my kids still have problems with it (they've been doing it for about 6 months) but they will never get better at it unless they do it themselves.
They also empty the dishwasher, fold and put their clothes away (another un-favorite chore) and help me clean on cleaning day (they vaccum, help sweep etc)
And yes, my kids at age 10 got lazy. And for a while there it was ok. But with my husband working, and me in school for an BSN, they WILL help. Period. That's what a family does. Mom is NOT repeat NOT your personal maid (I've been down this road one too many times lol).
I don't change Kayleigh's sheets at all, she's changed her own since she was 9.
