Christmas Gifts for girls?

SO I know the Christmas season is upon us. (I mean the shopping season). Normally I have most of my shopping done, but this year I am really struggling! I'm having a horrible time trying to decide what to get the kids? My biggest trouble is my daughter who is 10 1/2. She is getting a cd player (with headphones) and a gift certificate for cd's. She's also getting some more art supplies and some clothes, but I'm stumped for "fun" present ideas! Anyone got a great thought this year?

Sounds like what my DD is getting for Christmas! Have you checked out any of the "Klutz" books? They are all really fun. They have one where you make fairies from silk flowers, one to make bracelets, one that teaches you to juggle and just about everything in between! The one that my DD liked the most was actually given to her brother but he was way too young for gives building plans for these really complex Lego creations and includes some specialty pieces that make it really fun.

Other than DD loves bead kits, any of the craft kits (she got one for her birthday that included stuff for making your own pins), herb garden kit, science kits (her grandparents gave her one that was "National Geographic" brand and included everything you need to make bubble gum, rootbeer and a bunch of other things. That was a big hit!) She also still enjoys Shrinky Dinks.

Hope some of that helps!

I can't add anything to Anna's suggestions - I have boys (and finding that enough of an issue ;-))

How about some movie passes to a local theater or a GC to a salon for a manicure? I know those would be things my 10dd would enjoy!

I also got my daughter the cd player and clothes this year, but like you all I was stumped on the "fun" present. I ended up getting here the Leap Frog I Quest thing; she had the Leap Pads since she was quite little and she still enjoys them but the content is much to young for her. However, I still need more ideas.
