Christmas sickness has arrived!

Well, school is out for break, and Christmas is right around the corner so, of course, it is time for the winter "let down" and sickness to hit our house.

Last night, during Andrew's ballgame, Austin developed a bad headache so he and I left as soon as the game was over. He also felt nauseated on the way home. Well, he woke up at 7:00 with a temp of almost 101, sounds like he has cotton stuffed in his throat, stomachache. Placing my bets on strept throat. He is very symptomatic plus he tends to get it several times a year. He has an appointment at the Ped at 2:45. We had to run into the city already once today to take Andrew to the ortho and Austin had to go along. He started vomiting on the way home and, of course, I was stuck in traffic due to all the shoppers and had trouble finding a place to pull off.

Andrew was feeling o.k. after the game until about 10:00 then came in to tell him that he thought he was going to throw up. No other symptoms, and he never did but had several episodes of thinking he was going to. He seems fine today-hopefully just ate too much junk after playing basketball. Doesn't seem like a virus now.

Time to go get some Lysol for our household!!

I'm sorry. Brandon has strep right now too. He woke up last Saturday with a fever of 103.5, his throat and ears hurt. Poor kid had to wait until Monday to see a dr. I made him stay confined to his room so hopefully his germs didn't pass on to any of us. I guess we would have it by now. Strep is going around again. It's so frustrating to be sick around the holidays, it's a bummer for the whole family. I wish you guys a speedy recovery and hopefully a happy holiday!

Oh oh. Kristen had that "I think I'm going to throw up" thing last night along with a stomach ache. She slept well and is still sleeping so I'm hoping she just needed some rest. Anyway "go away sickies" coming your way and we'll hope they stay out of my house too. Nothing like being sick over the holidays. Bummer.
